The REAL Reason why you aren’t reaching ‘that’ goal

We’ve all heard the statement “Fake it til you make it”, it’s a saying I have often used and one that definitely holds credibility but, for how long?

We are told to embody the thoughts & feelings of the person we want to be in order to become that person. Sounds easy right? A few positive mantras and a walk around a designer store and you are living as the wealthy, successful businessman or woman that you know you are destined to be. But is it really that easy? If it was, wouldn’t we all be living versions of our dream self?

Now, don’t get me wrong. A few positive mantras & a walk around a designer store will absolutely lift your spirits and get you moving towards a high vibration, but if this isn’t rooted in feelings of more significance, unfortunately as soon as you walk out of that store and realise you actually can’t afford anything in there, and probably won’t be able to for a long time and you’re actually behind on your rent this month and your Spotify payment just bounced, we are right back to where we started.

So, how can we overcome this?

Thought + Feeling = outcome.

BUT, those thoughts & feelings must be rooted in self-worth in order to have effect. We can think about something that we want over & over. We can embody the feelings of what it would be like to experience it. BUT, unless our thoughts & our feelings are rooted in SELF WORTH, they will not hold enough weight to call the outcome into reality.

The reason for this, is we must believe we are worthy of receiving in order to receive. If self-worth is not present, no matter how hard we try, we cannot help but signal to the Universe that we are “not worthy”, “not capable” and “not able” to receive. Our subconscious is literally telling the Universe “I don’t want this!” we can pretend, we can plaster over the doubt, we can fake it so hard that we actually think it’s real, but your subconscious will ALWAYS overrule the conscious and that’s why digging deep into our feelings of self-worth is so important.

I urge you to think of one of your dreams or goals, imagine that it is undoubtedly yours. Envision the scene playing out right in front of you. Feel the feelings. Embody the thoughts. Then ask yourself this: Do I really believe I am worthy of receiving this? Listen to your inner voice. What’s the answer?

Self-worth is knowing that you are worthy of any dream or goal you choose to go for. No one can take it away from you. Nothing can happen or be said that will derail your worthiness to receive it. No guilt. No shame. No hesitation. You know, deep down in your core, that you are worthy of living that dream.

If this isn’t you right now, that’s ok too. The journey to self-worth is a marathon, not a sprint. The first step is self-acceptance. Take time out of your day to look at that person in the mirror and fully accept who is looking back at you.

Remember: you must believe you are worthy of receiving in order to receive, and trust me, you are.
